Hi, I’m Fadil Ak — based in Dubai, with freelance experience across social media, web, SEO, and paid ads on Meta, TikTok, and Google. I’ve also worked with startups on go-to-market strategy, validation, and other early-stage marketing needs.

How I Got Here

It started in 11th grade, with an ad. The same one, following me around after I’d searched for something just once. I couldn’t let it go, how did it know, why did it keep showing up, what was happening behind the scenes. That question is the reason I’m doing this today.

I didn’t have a name for it back then. I just started doing small freelance jobs in Calicut, social media posts for retail shops, offers for local businesses, nothing fancy. But it taught me something that stuck: what actually makes someone stop scrolling. Then I moved to Bangalore for my undergrad, and the work got a bit more varied. F&B clients, then some agency work, where I started picking up how things are actually supposed to run, structure, deadlines, working with a team.

By the time I landed in Dubai, I had a decent base across a few industries, and a clearer sense of what kind of work I actually wanted to do more of.

How I Work

Here’s what I noticed early on, most marketing doesn’t fail because the ideas are bad. It fails because the pieces don’t talk to each other. A website with no SEO behind it. Ads sending traffic to a page that was never built to convert. Content with no real strategy underneath. Everything technically exists, but nothing’s actually working together.

So when I’m working on a startup’s go-to-market, running SEO, or managing a paid campaign, in Dubai or remote, I try to think about how it fits the bigger picture before I touch anything. I ask questions before I jump in. I stay focused on what actually moves things forward, not just what looks good on the surface. And I stick around through the work, I don’t disappear after the first draft.

What I Believe

The website, the content, and the campaign only work when they’re built around the same goal. A lot of the time these get treated as separate problems handled by different people. I try to treat them as one thing, because that’s closer to how they actually function.
